My name is Basant and I'm 27 years old. I work as a marketing manager and enjoy learning and teaching different languages.

What motivated you to pursue a career in English Language Teaching?
I have a Passion for Language so teaching English for me involves continuous learning and personal growth. Also, I have desire to make a positive impact on their students’ lives, helping them gain confidence, improve their communication skills.

What is your favorite aspect of your job?
I find joy in the creative aspects of my job. As, I get to brainstorm unique ideas, design captivating visuals, to engage and attract customers. Besides, leading teams, and driving collective efforts toward achieving marketing goals.

How are our roles as teachers evolving?
The roles of teachers are indeed evolving in response to various factors, including advancements in technology, changes in educational paradigms, and evolving student needs. for instance, Teachers are shifting from being the sole source of knowledge to becoming facilitators who guide and support students in their learning journey. They encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration among students. moreover, teachers work on tailoring their teaching methods, materials, and assessments to meet the unique needs of each student.

What are some of the challenges teachers face with different age groups?
for example, Elementary school classrooms often consist of students with varying levels of academic abilities and learning styles. Meeting the needs of all students can be a challenge also Maintaining students and classroom engagement and interest throughout the school day can be a challenge, as attention spans can vary. however, in intermediate classrooms, students are encouraged to take more responsibility for their learning. Teachers need to foster self-motivation, time management, and independent study skills. also, intermediate classroom introduces more complex subjects and higher academic expectations, requiring teachers to help students develop study skills, organization, and critical thinking abilities.

What observations have you made regarding non-native English speakers’ grammar and the influence of their mother tongue?
Different languages have different sentence structures. Non-native English speakers may transfer the sentence structure of their mother tongue into their English sentences. What sets the CELTA course apart from other TEFL qualifications?
The CELTA course emphasizes practical teaching skills and classroom experience. Trainees have the opportunity to plan and deliver lessons to real English language learners, receiving valuable feedback and guidance from experienced tutors. This hands-on approach helps develop effective teaching techniques and classroom management skills. Also, During the CELTA course, trainees observe experienced teachers in action and receive detailed feedback on their own teaching practice to reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement, facilitating professional growth and develop effective teaching techniques and classroom management skills. However, it’s important to note that there are other reputable TEFL qualifications available, each with its own strengths and characteristics. The choice of qualification depends on individual needs, career goals, and the specific requirements of teaching contexts.

What were the biggest challenges you encountered, and how did you overcome them?
The pressure to succeed in workplace can be overwhelming. Therefore, I tried to overcome this by setting realistic goals, maintaining a healthy work-life balance, and practicing stress management techniques.

What have you learned from your experience, and how has it affected you professionally?
I have learned to be more prepared and Flexible. As a result, this enhanced my understanding of people behavior, fostering professional relationships, and developing resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges.

What motivates you to keep striving for success, and what are your future aspirations and goals?
One of motivators is the sense of Direction like having a clear understanding of what I want, and the actions needed to achieve my goal. Besides, the desire for personal development and self-improvement.
since am a starter, I aspire to achieve professional success in my teaching career.

What advice would you give to others pursuing similar goals or aspirations?
Don’t stop when it gets difficult. Just keep going tell you achieve your goals.

If you could start over, what would you do differently and why?
I don’t think I would do anything differently. Because the mistakes and the hardships I faced in my journey gave me a valuable lesson in my current life and I am so thankful for it.
